Bought a new comp buggy.

Yep with a stock 3:1 first gear which is a lot lower than most other autos which only have a 2.5:1 and the 2 speed powerglides which have a 2:1 first.
Which is why this rig has 3.8:1 transfer and only 4.56: diffs. Overall crawl is about 52:1.
Lots of the new buggies are running the powerglide because the auto is so short which means you can move the engine closer to the centre of the rig. Most of the powerglided rigs run the 5.0:1 atlas.

and that is why it is so hard for Victorians to compete regularly in these events

Sam
So you wont be competing (driving) at all locally next year if you manage to sell them?
Yea - will be for sure. Ive got these couple of 35spline D60 axles to put into something. I was origionally going to put these into a a rig and send it to the states but Ive bought this one now to leave in the US and so the one Im building here will stay here.

Well maybe i lied
Got a call today and it turns out its not on the dock yet. Someone at the shipping yard stuffed up. It should land on Thursday and be available to pick up Monday or Tuesday. So i doubt it will make it to the finals now unless it is absolutly right to go as soon as it comes out of the container.
