need part # identified...

Post by RMP&O »

This is for a complete 3rd member, exact diff unknown, exact year unknown. It is a 4.8...

Anyone with a parts book able to tell me exactly what it is for? C200, H233b, H260? Year and model?

Thanks...

In the USA parts system, it comes up as an H233B unit 4.363 w/ LSD, suitable for Frontier, Xterra, and R50 Pathfinder.
Where'd ya come across it?

C200 doesn't have a third-member ;)

That's incorrect. The stamping on the ring gear shown in the photos is 48:11 which is the ring and pinion tooth count. 48/11=4.363

ahh...yes, didn't notice it stamped on the gear before and didn't pay much attention. And well, the ad kind of sucks.

seems cheap though for a Nissan part...

I also came across this and rang a nissan dealer for confirmation.

He can't tell me what it is for but did tell me if I want one he'd have to order it from O/S as there is none in OZ.

Would anyone like to hear what price they are asking ...

I have looked up the parts catalogue and the diff in question fits an R50 Pathfinder. It's spec is H233B 2 pinnion with 48/11 which means a ration of 4.363. Looking at the Patrol catalogue the only difference between it and the R50 is the Patrol has a 4 pinnion H233B diff.

I don't know if the two are interchangeable but I'll try and find out. ;)
