Cool, what are you using for the donor chassis, please say gq or gu, not mq (sorry mk/mq dudes)

Sounds like an awesome project. If you get the time, do a write up on the project, would make for really good reading and future reference.

Pop it on here too:

Why would you want to do such a thing?

Meh, the crap on that site is the same crap they level at every other kind of 4x4, and besides it's not that relevant to a hummer replica as opposed to an actual hummer.

I reckon the hummer replicas look okay although I've never seen pics of an interior of one that didn't look absolutely disgusting.

However, I'd rather spend the money on mods that made a GQ more capable, as opposed to more attention-grabbing.

Doing both would be even better.

Was just playing around on the net and came across this site
http://www.rhinobuggies.com.au/index.htm
They do the kits for some Patrols to change and look like Hummers.

They need to make the newer models....those hummers are old skool...tough but very old skool....like a MQ....very plain inside and totally box shaped...$10,000 is a lot of money for a body that ain't paint nor is it original!!! and don't forget the Yanks are homeless and use window winders.....or did you miss that there are NO ELECTRIC windows...not even an option!!!! I was going to do the same conversion...but add paint, extras, electric window conversion and the touch your toes price on insurance and then decided to keep those $$$$ in my pocket. If you don't like your patrol - hack it up ....every other mofo does....and its a damm site cheapa!!!! Or are you a street poser  from down under...skippy strikes back
