2nd Hand Patrol parts wanted for New Zealand

Post by Kiwi Alan »

I live in Auckland, New Zealand  and own a 1993 SWB Nissan GQ Patrol/Safari.
I am a member of the Auckland 4x4 club with many friends and members owning Patrol’s.
New and used parts here are quite expensive for most 4x4s because there are relatively few trucks here, so parts are in demand and the car wreakers and 4x4 specialists take advantage of this so prices for new and second hand parts are way over priced.

Could any forum members please advise me of any car wreakers in OZ with competitive prices and have had good service who would be interested in sending parts to New Zealand?

I am currently in need of both taillights & right front indicator lenses.
The corners generally get knocked about in the tight bush tracks here in NZ.

Thanks in advance
Alan

Mate just go into an auto store, ie REPCO - AUTO ONE - etc etc, ask for a set of tail lights for your rig, they cost aprox $50 each (new), there after market stuff, but they work and there cheap. I just put a pair in my MQ for $105 came with new wiring and globes. ezy as..

If that fails for some reason, PM me your address for shipping and I can organise them for you if you want. piss easy..

Get on ebay.com.au and check out the 4X4 accessories section there, almost always Patrol tail light/indicators and plenty of other stuff available and a couple of them are reputable 4wd shops so they would take Credit card and would most probably ship stuff to NZ, worth a look anyway, just a suggestion. :D
