Cheap suspension mods

Post by leafyhead »

:?: Have just bought 90 sierra s/top and was wondering if there is any cheap mods to take the choppyness out of standard sagged suspension. Was thinking about jerking one leaf out of each spring pack and cold setting the remaining pack in 60 ton press.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as at the moment i have 3 regos for vehicles and money is not sufficent at the moment to buy aftermarket gear.

Put up with it, save your money and get OME's

Or go to some of the other longer softer springs other peeps are running (e.g. 808 & dishitzu)

Oh yes welcome noob

:? big steve,I also have an 86 hi-top on my property that has some sort of lifted springs and adj koni shocks and it rides quite well with 215/15 Ground hog reforms.BUT i dont want to have to pull gear out of one to put under other as farm zook was used as beach car and most things are rusty and you know what happens when yu start to undo rusty bolts etcSNAP!!! So I will muck around as i said and go from there.

Undo the spring clamps and fit some longer shackles.

Maybe even take a take measure to the wreckers for some soft shocks.

EDIt, fixed spelling mistakes, (bloody friday beers)
