Hi all,

Probably should has introduced myself before asking to many more questions. Great to be able to find info on isuzus locally. mines a 98 3.0td, with all the associated problems. have had 3 oring replacements, 2 sets of glow plugs and 1 clutch but seems to be running sweet at the moment. presently its got a two inch lift with koni shocks but ordering ball joint spacers and coil spacers from the states for three inch total, 2inch bodylift which wasnt that big a job to install, bullbar, uhf and 27mhz, lights, custom skid plates(after contact with fire hydrant) all the usual SE additions, mp3 player with amps under rear seats,3 18in woofers(very little cargo room). tyres are 265 75's bfg on factory alloys and 33 12.5's claws for weekend. tweaked rear diff ,nothing in the front one yet. live just around the corner from usa4x4 in melb so transfer case gears are on the cards. thats all at the moment....

Hi all!
Ive got a 2k Rodeo, V6, Bull bar, lights, Warn 9000, Tray, 31x10.5's, GME3400 & GME handheld, Engel 40, Redarc bat isolator, Optima blue, Haines tow. . . .. I think thats all. . . .

Wish list: (soon) front air locker, Koni adjustables, torsion bars, reset rear springs, snorkel.

Recently decided that rather than trading the old girl in (100,000k) on a new Rodeo, Id do some work on her and get her up to scratch. So after speaking to the accountant/handbrake and getting permission, Im allowed to do the things on my wish list :D

I live in Brisbane am in IT and love to tinker. . .see my last project at: http://www.240z.id.au

4WDing, Camping, fishing, Scuba and tinkering with 240z's are my interests.

Ive got a mate who's also into the 4by scene (Grazza) who also frequents this forum.

Cheers - Zbuild

Hello,
I'm Phil from Sacramento, California.
Here's my 93 Trooper RS (Jackaroo SWB). No mods yet...it doesn't really need any, but some bigger tires would look nice. :D

Hi all,

This is my old girl that I only recently purchased.

Image

Its a 1984 Jackaroo and as you can see, it has been very well cared for.

Amazingly its got what certainly appear to be genuine logs of grease and oil changes and the early services.

Very likely true as it still sports the original motor and its still going strong.........well as strong as a 4 will go.......lol

I have made a few changes since this original shot was taken including some Hella 140s, CB, CD player some mods in the rear cabin area so I can use it for work better and also a few quick camping mods such as a table on the rear door that will double for work.
Also built a hand throttle and have had to do quite a few small repairs to things that had been let go like the battery cables etc.
Added my own set of locks all round.

Im keen to do something about the highway power but am not in a hurry and will weigh up the various options over the next 6 months or so.

Im looking for a name for her at the moment and really wanted Old Yella but have noticed someone else is using that so Im gunna have to find somethin original.

I have spent most of my life off the beaten track in one way or another and I expect this old girl will build up into something quite special and be there for a heap of special moments.

Apart from 4wdriving we also enjoy bikes, deep sea fishing and just touring in general.

Good evening to all. this is my first time on and am working my way around the system. Just stunned how much Jackaroo talk goes on this is great.

My ride
92 Jackaroo,3.1 Turbo Diesel,Intercooled
Dark Blue , Alloys, UHF in roof Console, AM CB, MP3 Player, Full alloy roof rack,Cargo Barrier, Draw system, Side steps that are water tanks, Alloy Bull Bar, Snorkel.
Love my Jackaroo just having trouble dealing with the power loss coming from a 82 Jeep Cherokee that I installed a 6.2 Chev Diesel.
Love hitting the beach around Rainbow & Noosa.
Can anyone help with info for beefing up Turbo, I hear the injectors should be done around 150,000 klm has anyone had this sort of work done.
Does anyone have a contact for a Jackaroo Club in Brisbane
Regards

Hi, My name's mick and I'm an alcaholic.... Oops wrong forum

I'm from the blue mountains and I have a 1986 jackaroo with 2.3 litres of throbbing 4 cylinder power. :D

Current mods... Not much, just bought a set of 31x10.5x15's, I have some nite stalker 140 driving lights on the front, an old 27mhz CB which was in the car when I bought it. That's about it for now.

I'm a security tech by trade, and my hobbies include a bit of 4wding, rock climbing, mountain biking and such things.

Hopefully I'll get a pic of the old tractor up soon. I call it bread... Don't ask.

OK so I've been reading everyone elses stuff I should send mine in.

I'm Todd on the south coast (NSW) and just over a year ago I replaced the trusty old zook (with a full body lift and raised suspensin and all the beefed up stuff) with a new "Family Car". The Family car just happens to be a 2002 TD SE Jackaroo now sporting a 20mm lift thanks to OME, a TJM bull bar, IPF 130W spotties, Safari snorkel, 150lt long range fuel tank and Milford Cargo barrier.

So far very happy with the whole set up 2 big camping trips one with some low range action and some day excursions show the big beast to be very capable. Has a lot more family room than the old zook did too.

Hoping to get a UHF soon and like to dream about a front diff locker.
The next real priority is some 245 75 BFG AT's or maybe some 255 75 Cooper ST's.

I am currently planning the storage system to go in the back and am interested in any ones ideas.

Todd

Owning a Holden 4x4, where do I start ...

Got our first Jack in 1998 - a 1986 model LWB 2.3 lt

In 1999 - bought 1991 2.6 lt LWB manual Jack, huge improvement over the old girl. Sold the 1991 coz the missus wanted an auto, so bought her a 1988 LS LWB, 287,000 ks on, still driving it. This old Jack is not modified at all and we still got him.

In 1996 we bought a 1994 Rodeo single cab 2.8 lt diesel. Done many outback trips in WA and a couple in the east. He had done 386,000 ks when we sold him to buy the new Jack in our lives.

The new Jack is a 2000 TD auto. Pretty standard, but some mods will come.

Jeff

Well im Andrew from kurri (hunter valley) and i have an 02 model Rodeo dual cab V6  Had her for about 6 months now and and couldn't be happier with it

Im not a die hard 4x4 man but dont mind putting her through her paces now and again, but mainly just love the freedom it gives me for my fishing trips being able to put my baby in the water just about anywhere

The deo is fairly stardard at the moment with an ARB bar which has some IPF combination lights on it, as well as some IPF work lights mounted on the headboard for camping/fishing. One thing id like to do is fit a long range tank to it

Hi, David From Alice Springs here.

I am a big believer in Isuzu, its a great product.

I have a R9 dual cab with a 3.0L Td.
2.5" mandrel bend exhaust
245/75/R16 Cooper ST Tyres on ROH rims
Dual Battery system with Waeco fridge for the essentials

Other than that its pretty standard but i still love it, its done a lot of hard work and has never let me down.

This is my second Rodeo, and i hope that when i caan afford the third its just as good as the last two.[/img]
