i think the changeover was 74 or 75? Mines a 73, and its got the later model windscreen surround. (wiper motor at the bottom, PO must of swapped it). I can only assume they fit..

i have just had the windscreen replaced. One of the companies told me the glass size was different between the two types.. Another company told me that was ass piss and said they were all the same..

Im guessing that the frames are interchangeable given my rig..

As long as the extra swarf and filings aren't in your rig, i spose it'll be lighter -

The windscreens changed from top-mounted wipers to bottom-mounted wipers in 1975, the fuel tank location changed in 1979.

You can use the older style windscreen on a newer LandCruiser, but if you are running the factory hard top, the metal piece that bolts on to the windscreen must have reliefs cut out for wiper clearance. If you are running topless, no worries, LOL.

No it was definitely factory, it came off an imported 24V Japanese 40.

Actually, this windscreen is of my old '82 fj40 LX deluxe.

so must be only stock on these vehicles.
