MQ Coil conversion - anyone done it yet?
MQ Coil conversion - anyone done it yet?
I have searched heaps on this site and have not found any concrete info of anyone having completed this project (altho I am half blind so likely to have missed all the posts).
The closest I have found is this:
http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... t=mq+coils
Has anyone managed to do it and what gear did you use? Coils, trailing arms, coil hats etc.
I am investigating the project and my initial thoughts were to get all the trailing arms and A-frame from a Range Rover (or make my own A-frame). The TJ coils for the front sounds like a good idea...are they flat both ends? Comments...thoughts here?
Does anyone also know of the legalities of the conversion for QLD?
Cheers
Craig

i hav gu ute with leaf rear do'n conversion now i just got rear gq chassy & diff house cut evrything off & welded it on mine take all measurements first. it is 2 easy so far so good. or just get a gq big job do'n both ends
talk to cheezy... he was telling me how if you are going to go the full conversion with a-frame & 5link and such it doesn't matter if you start with a gq or mq as they rebuild or reinforce all the existing shit anyway.
And if you have a mq with coils thats cool
where every man and his dog own's a gq
And if you have a mq with coils thats cool
