g'day
Im after info on wich diff gears or centers I can fit into my MQ (front and rear housings) with other nissan diffs like GU or path finder etc. Can anybody tell me if they can fit, with mods like re drilling crown wheel holes, is that all that is required. Do they bolt straight up to the housings. etc etc...
Any info would be great as im trying to lower the ratio to something around 3.9 - 4.1 in my MQ..
Thanks
casey

OK, need help with diffs
H233B rear and C200 front, right? H233B gear options ought to be plentiful enough, but as I suspect you have 10mm crown wheel bolts, you would need to have your centre machined out to accept 12mm bolts for many of them. Not sure if there are any 31-spline centres with 12mm bolts used in Australian Nissan applications (Pathfinder perhaps), but they're certainly plentiful here in the USA.
For your C200 front, you may have some options. If they're interchangeable, there must be plenty of small Nissan trucks and even vans around with C200 rear diffs that have that sort of ratio. And it's a longshot, but I also think I've run across a cross-reference between an R200 rear (as used in many Nissan RWD cars like the Z) or maybe front (used in IFS 4WDs) and a C200 rear, so there's a possibilty of using R200 gears in a C200 front.
Good luck,
Brent

In search of an MQ (offset) H233b rear, housing only preferred, plus a complete GQ or GU front (4.6 ratio ideal) to be shipped to the US. Cheap! Email/PM if you can help.
Update, I have confirmed that USA-spec C200 rear and R200A (IFS front) gears are interchangeable. Seems the A in R200A designates it as a short-pinion model. I will confirm soon (friend has an R200 rear in his garage), but the RWD R200 appears to have a longer pinion than the R200A/C200 and therefore cannot interchange.
Still haven't confirmed your C200 front can interchange with our C200 rear, but I'd imagine it would.
