see, i did do a search.
but what i want to know/hear, is who has the weber on at the moment, and what it does on hills etc.
majority says they flood or starve going up or down.
my mikuni one is about to sh!t itself, and the carby dude says for a weber, and he can adjust it so it doesnt starve or flood.
is he just trying to sell me a weber? or is he telling the truth?
who has successfully run a weber? (off road)
and what is a SU carby? "please explain"
thanks
steve

SU is a side draft carburettor style similar to a motorbike one.
Also used on some older sports cars (ie Datsun SSS, 240Z, E-type Jag etc).
Very good but too expensive and they do have issues. Normally came as a multiple set and need balancing and tuning. However they usually had a separate float bowl, so big lean angles are cool with them, as trhey're set up for sudden changes due to cornering and braking gforces.
Quad motorbike carbies would be cool too. A rack of 4 GSXR carbies would be great, but a lot of work to set up the manifold.

Yeah.... but sidedrafts were pretty common on euro cars for years, and a mini one would be too small.
You could look at one off a jag or one from a rover V8 though. Or dellortos or sidedraft mikunis rather than webers. There's actually a lot of options out there.
Me.... I'd pay the extra for EFI or rebuild exisitng one.
