Factory Isuzu rear swaybar disco's?

Post by Westoztroopa »

Been emailing a guy in NZ who has a 92 swb Bighorn (Jackaroo) similar to mine. He says it was sent over with a factory rear swaybar disconnect which works via a remote air operated piston. Has anyone else heard of this? I'm going to try and look into it further...
Will probably still just ditch the rear swaybar though...

Good on ya Dave. So does it work by air or electronic activation?

Sorry it took so long, trucks been getting inspected for the last few days. Never seen and air compressor, so think it is a hydro set up.
Pulling it out this morning to see if I can find out a bit more.
If not, I've got an english version of the factory manual arriving in a few days, which might have a little more info.
If I find any numbers etc on it I'll let you know.

Isn't the Frontera called a wizard in NZ?

Thought it was a Wizard or Mu.
The Mu (Amigo in US) is a SWB 3 door wagon (shorter/smaller than Jackaroo) and the Wizard is a similar size to a Toyota Surf/4 Runner.
I've got the guts looking up both anyway.
It is just the english version of the owners manual you find in the glove box, not a workshop manual (available also).
Will let you know details when I get them.

User manual for Mu and Wizard available NZ$49.
Let me know if you want one or try these guys http://www.techbooks.co.nz (go to bottom of page, click on handbooks for imports)
The Wizard manual may need to be ordered in-not stocked.
