Trailer plug is 24 volt on mine.Just change trailer globes when u use it on the patrol. If you buy a converter it should have instructions with it but id say itd have to earth back to it somehow to complete the circuit. As for the splines,I got no idea

Mine has relays for each circuit, providing 12 volt to all connections to the trailer. 12 volt taken from converter.

If the chassis of the converter is grounded, then ground the uhf to normal ground (cab/chassis) try it out with a test lamp first.

As for the steering coloumn - if no one has the answer, i'm changing my steering wheel in a couple of days - i'll try to get a count.

there is a factory 12 volt accessory line in the 24 volt system.

U will run the trailer off 24 volt, as the reverse / brake lights are 24 volt, unless u use a converter.

BUT

the factory line that is 12 volt ( which is the one that goes to the cigatter lighter if u want to find it ), will be more than enough to run your radios andd stereo. If u try to run much more ( as in lights and subs and things ) you will flatten 1 battery every coupla months, but i have had a stereo, 4 speakers and an AMP, with 2 radios running off this line as well as the phone charger and my batteries hold charge ( they did in my old 24 volt system and in the new one.

screwy :D

you can get a converter 24 to12 volt from your auto elec to change your trailer plug as for the 12 volt converter just run it to ground we use these things all the time on the trucks at work . if you hook it up to one battery you will eventuley run it flat and the only way to charge it up again is to charge it sepratley sounds silly but i know from exprence hope this helps
