which is a junk sale...

Went 2 yrs ago, and it appeared as though someone had been driving around the Council Hard rubbish days looking for the most shit they could find. Then try and sell it.

I thought there would be more of swap meets.. theres enough 4b drivers around.

When you are in Qld, the first weekend in August, at Rockhampton, the Rocky Swap, last few years there have been around 800 sites. But this isnt just 4x4's, its anything and everything. Its usually a pretty good weekend.

Heaps of stuff at the one at the tafe last year, mostly cruiser and patrol some cheap and some more expensive than new.

This years purchases; new CB radio and antenna $20 (didn't need it just looks good on the dash), ground anchor $60, swing away tyre carrier $60 and a few other little doodads.

The hard thing about this swap meet is that the sellers flow in from 7am until 11am so you need to get there early and stay until late (swap meet time) to find any good stuff that may be there.

Most swap meets are in buyers terms over by 9:30am.

Agree with anything worth having being gone early - but that goes for any swap meet - computer ones, car, bike etc...
