Will a 3RZFE bolt up to a G52 gearbox and transfer?
Yet another option for my 90 dual cab lux (22r).
If it dose wil it line up with the 22r engine mounts?
how hard is the computer to figure out on these motors?

Cheers

BeeBee did this in a week of afternoons. Pm him. The comp wasnt real easy but hes got plenty of wiring diagrams and shiznit for it now. Yes it mated to the g52 (he had a 22r too). He made new mounts I think. I've been doing a V6 commo swap for ages and if I were to do it again I'd do the 3RZFE over it any day. Not as ballsy but cheaper and easier. Its not that far off the 3.8L anyway.

I've receintly completed this engine swap into my hilux.

Motor goes really well with lots of low end grunt. Nothing special on fuel economy but good to drive. Works REALLY well offroad with crawler gears.

Info needed is:
Motor will bolt up to a G52 using the standard bellhousing off the 3RZ
Need a new clutch slave cylinder as it's on the passenger's side like a diesel
I had to shift the motor back 65mm and down 25mm from the location of the standard engine mounts.
Wiring is the most difficult part and it's difficult to get the info needed. Although it is very do-able
Need the throttle cable from the 3RZ
I used a pod air filter
I have a 2 1/2" mandrel bent exhaust with a flowmaster muffler that I'm very pleased with

That's all that I can think of atm - good luck!

Why did you have to move the engine down and back is it the size of the engine ie height or the width. This could be the conversion of choice what was the engine worth.

the motor isn't actually dropped and moved back, that is just in relation to fittin the 3rz mounts to the 22r mounts. really easy to fit, we could modify mounts on the bench now and know that they would fit perfect.
