Modification plate - Approved person

Post by Utemad »

Does anyone know of an 'approved person' in Brisbane for modifications?

How much does a mod plate cost?

I am looking at fitting a second fuel tank in my Rodeo.

Mod plates cost different amounts of money depending on the time required to inspect the mod.

QLD transport can give you a list of engineers who can approve each type of mod.

I have heard that for aftermarket tanks you need the specs from the tank manufacturer, including number of baffles and their location.

The tank I am considering fitting is the standard tank from a Jackaroo/MU/Frontera that sits behind the rear axle. All the part used (except pump) will be standard fitment Jackaroo parts for the plumbing as they had the dual tanks as an option. The Rodeo's have the mounting holes for the tank in the chassis but never had dual tanks as an option.

It should be fairly straight forward because of this.
