The 80ser will fit different ratio but.
The 100ser has bigger axles and should fit with a little relieving in the housing you will need the axles and hubs and wheels as well.
I'm not stuck I'm over here!

80 series has a 4.10 ratio and 40 series has a 4.11 ratio. There is no problem running one of each in anything.

Yes i beleive the rear centre has 31spline axles where as the earlier cruiser had 30. I dont know why this was changed as toyotas have never had a problem with 30spline axles. Strangely the solid axle 100series still runs 30spline axles in the front.

I wouldnt mind running the 100 series diffs in my 80. There would be no shortage of GXL rms like with the 80's, and 4.3 sounds good along with bigger park brake, and larger everything on the rear axle.
