you said shit load better which I took as meaning a lot better and I reckon you can get a leaf setup to work very well for a lot less hassle on an already leaf sprung vehicle that needs to remain legal. I also never said a well setup leaf suspension would work better just that they can be comparable
If you are starting from scratch with a fully custom vehicle then yes a link setup will work better as you have no limitations for placement etc but when you start with a leaf sprung vehicle it is a different story especially if being kept relatively legal.
