Axle Oil Leak

Post by lowndsie »

has anyone had problems with diff oil leaking out their rear axles? i am hoping this is just a seal but i dont know why it only happened when under strain. it never leaked before and now it's just leaking buckets.

Nah croz's was from the diff housing seal (which fixed itself), mines coming from the side where the brakes are...it's only on the passenger side.

You probably have a loose axle retaining nut which allows the axle to go off-centre. Therefore disturbing the axle seal which is located at the wheel end of the housing. :?
