Installing a Winch

Post by Screwy »

Guys,

ive just finished bolting up the Brawn 9500 pound Low mount, and have tested it, and it works well off the remote.

The winch used to be a mobile Haymen reese slide joint winch until a removed the frame and made it permanant.

The cables that come with it have aligator clips like jumper cables, tomorrow im about to wire it straight to a second battery im putting in the tray.

My question is, how do u make the winch retract and release from inside the car on a switch, rather than having to get out and plug the remote in the socket????

there are no wires coming out of it apart from the battery ones.

Help appreciated!

cheers.

Screwy

you will have to open up the solenoid pack and wire up your own switch

does the plug for the remote have 3 pins ?

if so then 1 will be - 1 will be + for in and 1 will be + for out

Unless you plan on winching heaps. Just plug the controller into the socket on your bullbar and wrap it around your side mirror and bring it in through your window when actually winching.
