your best bet would be to have the system made up with one muffler, to make it nice and quiet, But, have flanges welded at each end, and have a replacement pipe witht he sam flanges ready to go in, that way, if need be, they can be swapped out in a matter of 5 minutes,

the simple things in life are often the best................

mine is a 3" straight thru which dumps behind the utes cab.
loud when under load but quiet when cruising and is not intrusive at all on long trips.

Go see my old bus partner Pete at Kirrawee Mufflers, 453 The Boulevarde Kirrawee.
9542 4111.

He's got some bloody good straight through resonators with 3" internal tubing. No restriction and deaden the noise just enough.

I just did my GU 3" pipe no mufflers the turbo act like a muffler anyway it is noisier under load but isnt that what u were looking for neway.

I wouldnt be worried about the boys in blue, if your being smart arse infront of them they'll dick you for as much as you like.

in regards to EPA i think i'll be fine however my exhaust is built with flanges so it pull down to three parts so i can bolt on the old system easily from transfer case back.
