Hi Guys,
Just got back on line after an absence. This is a pretty major development! Just wanted to give a little feedback on what the impact to my crew is.
* My team mates parents organised their trip from New Zealand so they could be here for this event - now they are gonna miss it. Needless to say they are quite dissappointed.
* My team mate also had to do some fairly serious juggling of family stuff to get that weekend free and now has to go back to the negotiaiting table with the missus.
* I have to change my own travel plans, trailer booking etc,etc
* My mechanic/tech has to juggle his kids to get that weekend free.
I'm sure there are others with more inconvenience than me but I think it's worthwhile to give this feedback .
I love the competition and will do everything I can to support it, but please can we have a little more than 2 weeks notice of a change of date.
Cheers
Mike
P.S. I like havin another week to work on the car!

we're all sorry about the inconvience about the date change .. but as matt said ... its not feasable to have short course on oktober fest weekend
As it costs shit loads to run it in townsville thats why we need all the spectators we can get ... and its still going to be dicey holding it on bathurst weekend ....
if we want to keep short course in townsville we need all the support we can get ...
Thanks
Luke

As I stated I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused and if I could get around it I would. I realise this has stuffed a lot of people around and it was never my intention to do so. My only other option is to postpone round three untill further notice or cancel round three completely. OL is not the only place to be updated about ASCC.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

ok for those ppl that cant read and interpret this properly dont worry it is not cancelled or postponed it was just stated the this wood have to happen as a last resort........like it has been said time and time again..... we need as much support as we can get up here... and for this comp to be a success up here we need spectators and the dates that were previously set wood not have had any spectators appart form the competitors watchin as it was the week end on the annual octoberfest here in townsville.. as for the dates changen so close to the event.....ok so we hit some ruff patches and a couple of hurdles but hey you shood see how much red tape there is to get thru with gettin this comp up and goin successfully up here.... so lets keep the negativity to a minimum , what has happened coodnt be helped ..... so bring on round three!!!!!!!!! awwe what a party this is gonna be

So which Brisbane boys/girls are going up to help support the Townsville ASCC and of course to give the Townsville boys some great competition.
The dates for the ASCC end of year presentation is now set for the 27th November 2004. (There will be a thread for this )

Hey Jake,
please don't take my comments as negative, it's just feedback. Believe me I know how hard it is to stage a successful event, and appreciate the efforts you guys are making. I have not, and will not forget how you guys saved our arses at the last mud run. Sooo how can I help?
Cheers
Mike
