A Nice soft alternative that is reasonably priced is Refrigeration Pipe Insulation.

Comes in approx 2 metre lengths for about $14 a piece from memory.
I did order some from a small shop but he took too long getting it in.

Try a company called LoveLocks, From memory it has to be 19mm wall thickness, just cut the line done the length of it, slip it over and cable tie it on.

Thats what I did anyway and it all passed inspection.

I am almost certain that for a truely engineered/plated rollcage you will need the right kind of foam.

The speed shops are super expensive but it is the right stuff.
I also know a fella who got some made up (any colour ya like) and then ya cut it down the guts and fit. Will try and find out $ and where for you.

Cheers

We've got the normal roll cage padding $15 a length. This is the stuff with the offset hole.
CAMS /SFI / FIA approved padding is $45 a length !

clark rubber sell the same thing in a few different colours and the enginer has passed it for me it was $18 to $20 each length approx 1000mm long
If you can not get there in a 4wd its not worth looking at

That is true Brian, it does have to be the right type of foam. It has to be high density, (refrigeration pipe insulation is apparently legal - in QLD) I had mine passed easily enough with that type of foam. I also had a copy of the rollcage specs sent to me, so when I went for the plate i knew what he knew pretty much.

It stated 19mm (in QLD, not sure of elsewhere) and On a 2" rollcage, 42mm x 19mm fitted well. After it is inspected it can come off too. You can (so as not easily picked on) then put some thinner stuff on (also comes in 12mm).

That is entirely upto you, Lovelocks are a Nation Wide company and for the price they gave compared to one other shop, it was good enough for me.
