Rear Window 4 60series conversion

Post by brighty »

I'll be trying to source a rear windscreen for my 60 soon when I start the trayback conversion. Anyone know if theres one out there that'd be dead flat to suit the new rear panel that I'm going to fab up. Would have to cut the panel to suit the glass, so need that first.
Guessing it'd have to be standards approved for engineering too.

Cheers :D

Brighty if ya goin to the trouble of this y not just get the glass cut to suit wat ya want ????

If not $$$ wise maybe a MQ tray back rear winda or even hilux ...................?????? try n get one of those cool sliding windas that u use to be able to get  on the luxes (aftermarket )

Im gunna have to convert my side windas soon on the mav due to the known rust probs with these and im just gunna pop the frames out get some windscreen rubba to suit and then get some lexan cut to size n fit it in ....................no more breakys ;)

Maybe a zook windscreen. Would make for a bloody big rear window but it's flat.

Either that or just make it whatever size you want and get an auto glass place to make one that size. As long as it's flat there's no dramas, they just cut it to size. Check with an auto glass place first as I haven't actually had this done but have made similar enquiries before and was told this by an auto glazier.

zook windscreen would be HUGE   Will have to go check out the auto glass places round home and see what they say.
Funny though, everyone I seem to talk to in regards to getting mods on my car that aren't standard, they don't really want to know about it. Money is never any problem.... or is it that they just don't like a challenge anymore????? :finger: :bad-words:
