Maxis Tyres
Tossing up between 37" MTR's or Maxis's new tyre rumoured to be released soon (radial) looks somewhere between an MTR and an IROK. does anyone have any more info on this tyre?
Those running Maxis's now, do they wear well or are they too soft and gummy? Also price comparrison?
Going onto a daily driver aswell so i,ve got to think of these things.
Cheers Chris

Spoke to rolly a while ago when i bought his old MTR's - he said they're soft compound - will prolly wear out on the road fairly quickly. But i havent spoken to him since and he only had just put them on.
Shoot him a PM maybe as he'd know by now.

I run the Mudzillas, but the truck isnt a daily driver! But they are on there perminantly!
They are soft, and probably wear quickly (mine are good at the moment as truck is stationary
) but I dont really care! The price is good and if they have a new tyre coming out like you have described then they sound great! OH yeah and as antt said talk to Rolly -- Brett at Austyre 07 55970099
Just my 2 bobs worth
Cheers

I've got a set of Creepy Crawlies and they are a pretty soft compund. Awesome off road though. I have never driven them on the road though and dont think I would run them for any distance on the black stuff. havent hear about the new tyre your are talking about though. As Ant said, give Brett (aka Rolly) a call at Aus Tyre on the Goldie and he'll set you straight
maxis
yeah, i met Brett out Ormeau last weekend, it was he who told me about the new tyre, just wondering if anyone else had any comments on that brand of tyre.

Yep - running 37 crawlies on the 80 - they run okay on road at 25psi and will probably wear a bit. My set sat in the weather for a year before seeing a rim and are soft but not stupid soft.
Awesome in the bush - and crawl very nicely and clear great (not if you're behind me!!
).
Loving them. Chasing a set of roller skates for daily driving.... Yes!

as soon as i find out more about the radials coming out i will let you know .
all i know at the moment is that they should be released before xmas and are supposed to be a very strong radial tyre with a good looking pattern .
knowing maxxis they would have done there home work on these so they should be good . as i tell everybody who buys mudzillas or creepys off me they are a bias ply tyre with a soft compound and will be ok on road but dont expect alot of kms out of them .
i will keep you posted on any further developments cheers brett.

Yeah I had a look at rockcrawler site and there is a picture of the 2nd one. It appears similar in tread blocks but less aggressive so Id agree with that.
