Hi guys looking at buying an 86 dual cab lux. it's a 2.4 diesel with a g52 gearbox. the thing is in nearly new condition with only 182000 kms on the clock, complete factory toolkit and has been garaged all it's life.
the things i'm worried about are it's a bit noisey in 5th gear, no power steer for the missus (could be a good thing) and no aircon, it's bloody hot in darwin!
would be interested in engine swap for a little more loud pedal action, but it's main use is as a daily driver and weekend camping trips with the family.
any advice would be great as i don't know much about these cars
Cheers

He wants to swap for my beaten up old gq patrol. it has 455000 km and not a straight panel on it. it's nothing special complete with split rims and a million rattles that drive me nuts.
horses for courses i guess. we have our first bub on the way and i need a more comfortable family car. the patrol has a very harsh ride. i could fix that up i guess but i reckon i'd be up for at least 3000 to get the paint and panel done.
