Isuzu clutch on Toyota 5 speed

Post by beanz2 »

Thanks to Brian M. (dumbdunce) I've identified a 300 mm Isuzu clutch disc that looks like it would fit an H55f transmission from an HZJ73. I am going to give the iron 5 speed a try as it would make the 1HDT swap into my HJ75 a lot more simple. If the 5th gear should ever fail on me, I could still install the aluminium H150f later.

My question to those who have done this is how does the Isuzu disc fit the Toyota transmission input shaft? Is it a tight fit like a Toyota disc or is there a little slack?
