Post by lowndsie »

Ok i have a whining noise coming from my fez. It's happening when ever i'm backing off the accelerator....mostly when it's going over 60 km's. Used to only happen when travelling over 100 but seems to have gotton worse......any ideas?

My first guess... rear diff or gearbox.

Check your fluid levels... again... :?

check the levels, could be just water in the fluids.

It is common for the gearbox to have issues, mainly with input cluster and third gear.

Good point, how did you go packing your rears with the new seals? did you fill the cavity with grease?

Yeah i got it filled as much as possible.....which wasnt much considering i couldnt get the bearing off the axle. Could have grinded the retainer but then that meant i would have to buy a whole new bearing kit. I got what i could in there.
