Hawse Fairlead

Post by MKPatrolGuy »

OK, I'm putting a Hawse Fairlead on my Patrol, but when i line it up with the lower mounting holes for the winch the fairlead isn't over the hole on the bar that the cable comes through. Is it ok to just enlarge the opening in the bar downwards so that it matches the fairlead?

If you're going to use it with Plasma rope make sure you really file out the inside edges of the fairlead.

Alloy or Chrome plated ones are better for Plasma.

geez, sorry moose.... i forgot to explain, don't be embarrassed, you are a zook driver afterall :finger:
Well i have a winch lined up so i don't need one of those, and since the heading of the topic isn't Chrome Lips.... i guess i'm after a Hawse Fairlead :D
Rhino showed me the prototype one last time i was over that way ruff and it's a very nice looking unit, i just wanted to add a couple more possibilities to the list.
Cheers, Jeremy :D
