Hi
Just a really silly question about the Nissan Patrol.
Does anyone know what effect the "Stabizer Control" on the rear axle has on the ride over rough terrain ?
I believe it will increase the body roll and articulation of the axle when disengaged and makes the rear axle action stiffer through the stabilizer bar when engaged on road surfaces.
Please any comments !

Bah, dunno about the Patrols, but my Xterra had its rear bar removed in the first few months of its life and hasn't seen it since. Never noticed a difference. Disconnecting/removing the front bar made a noticeable change, enough to make my wife a little nervous on the times it took me a day or two to button it back up after a run, but I had to remove it permanently earlier this year by necessity (mounts crushed) and we've both adapted and become comfortable with it. I still push it as hard as I did before, and it didn't spook me at all last week when I came around a bend to encounter a line of stopped cars and had to make a last-moment dive for the shoulder to avoid clipping the rear of the vehicle ahead.
Might be the coil spring suspension you have (vs. our rear leaves and front IFS) and/or the height/COG difference, that make the Patrol more reliant on the bars.

In search of an MQ (offset) H233b rear, housing only preferred, plus a complete GQ or GU front (4.6 ratio ideal) to be shipped to the US. Cheap! Email/PM if you can help.
