Oil Seal
Moderators: toaddog, Elmo, DUDELUX
it's possible to change the seal without disassembling the box however if it's leaking it's likely the sector shaft bearings are on the way out and/or the shaft spigot is scored/pitted where the seal runs, so you might need to fit a speedisleeve. you will need to pull the pitman arm and they can be difficult to get off with the box still in the truck.
first step would be to pull the draglink off and check the box for play in the sector shaft. if it's ok (zero play), go for the seal.
cheers
Brian
