Love to tinker...

Post by halminator »

...have picked up a FJ40 last week from my brother in law that had it sitting in his garage collecting dust (for nicks! :D ). Will be slowly building it up as the cash allows but for now concentrating on getting RWC. Over the next couple of weeks I intend to get my s**t together and put some photos of the progress in the members section.
A few parts arrived today and have spent the last few hours putting them together. They arrived in this order...

1. new fibreglass front radiator panel
2. 12 yo Glen Livet Scotch (mate picked it up dutyfree coming home from Singapore)
3. relpacement speedo cable
4. hood latches
5. new headlights with 90/130 inserts

Having fitted them up I'm now feeling more than merry and enjoying a few glasses from item number 2 on the list.

Although I'm a newbie the info I've gleaned from the archives so far is invaluable.

Cheers! ;)

Welcome aboard mate,

Well done on the pickup of ya new toy and I look forward to the rebuild. A list of stuff that needs replacing would be good along with a"General description" of the rigs condition. How many hours are you planning for all the repairs so far ???

I hope you mean Glenfiddich! If so, you're doing well mate.
