Spottie Candlepower

Post by barbz »

Hi,

Im currently looking into a set of spotties for my rodeo, and was wondering if anyone knew what the candle power is of the IPF 800's were?

I cant find it anywhere and want to compare them with the lightforce 170s'. Whats everyone suggest?

Thanks

The general consensus on here is that Lightforces will sh!t all over the IPFs.
I have 2 Lightforce 240s and they are a lot brighter than my 3 Hellas I had on before.

As far as candle power gos NFI but it seems to be a number that can be put down as anything ie have seen the cheapo hand held spots that are suposed to be 2000000 candle power  .

Thanks.

So round spotties give better light than rectangular ones?

Yes they seem to.
I think the round ones can have a better reflector shape.

From a massive 4wdmonthly comparison they did ages ago the lightforce 170's were the best of the medium size spotlights and beat most others easily.

The big suprise though were Cibie oscars which were a lot cheaper but did a great job.

I personally run the lightforce and wouldn't swap them for anything else.
But if you are on a tight budget the cibie's would be good :D
