WARNING - NISSAN TRIALS COMPETITORS....

Post by Miss Wendy »

To all you guys who haven't organised your team, you are probably too late. I have almost the full quota. I can be contacted via nissanpatrolclub.org - trials or secretary.
A word of warning...they will be testing some classes for lockers and tightened diffs. If found out, your team could be sent home.

A quick question Miss Wendy
Are wrist retraints required for BOTH wrists or ONLY the wrist that is closest to the out side of the vehicle.

Think about it, as my inside wrist has no chance of ending up accidently or deliberately out side the window as my arm is hardly long enough to go much past my opposite shoulder.

.

You are correct in your thinking. We are only asking that they are fitted to the outside arm. (this applies to both driver and nav of course). We have no specs in place this year but we have stated that they need to be of quality construction to serve their purpose. Next year we will have some specs in place for the wrist restraints and for the window nets.
hope this helps.

Further to my last posting...
Standard class rules dose state that ....
"Front and rear diffs must retain their factory settings"
Hope this satifys those out there questioning this.

The Nissan Trials team entry is positively full. 28 teams this year!!
On behalf of the Trials crew, it would be appriciated if drivers would try not to roll over or just generally don't get stuck needing recovery. Especially on my event, Wombats Revenge. So keep 'em all on the ground, OK.
That way we may finish the comp before it gets dark. Whew !!!

Question about window nets

On softtop vehicals do the soft windows if done up at the time of competeing statisfy the requirments of window nets

given they have about the same flexibility, will not shatter in a roll over and act as a barrier stoping stray limbs flying out in a roll over

Do you require BOTH wrist straps and window nets or one or the other ?? It seems redunant to have both and not required in CAMS type events such as rally events or offroad rally's

No you only require one or the other.
Not to sure about the ruling on the soft top windows.

Thanks Miss Wendy.

The competing teams are now up on the Nissan Patrol Club website :!: and general info about the Trials will be added as it comes to hand (or mind).

Guys, if your Club's logo is not on the sheet of competitors, arrange for a copy (jpeg or gif) to be sent to webmaster@nissanpatrolclub.org.

Another question,

Counting the 4 vehicles + 1 reserve vehicle, 1 team manager vehicle and 1 support vehicle.

Obviously the competing vehicles are 2 people, does the entry fee allow 2 people in each the support and team manager vehicles entry.

Each time we have gone,we have had as many people in each car as legally possible,And they let us in.
I'm pretty sure it is a vehicle pass, not a person pass...
