GQ track width, DX with factory 16x6?
GQ track width, DX with factory 16x6?
Anyone got a manual or able to measure?
My owners manual says 1530mm FR, 1535mm RR, but doesnt say what rim, presume since mines an ST its with factory 15x7.
Hope track width is narrower with 16x6's, like 1515mm or less?
Cheers
Daryl

If you could measure I would be eternally grateful......
Since im in the middle of nowhere, buying something and then finding out when it gets here its NBG is a pain in the ass.
If I can use an available rim to get track width below 1515mm and above 1475mm, im a happy camper that doesnt have to cut the centres out of a set of wheels..
Cheers

Rear trackwidth on mine was 1595mm (0mm offset) when I measured it the other day. Could be wrong by 5mm though. Assuming this is correct, a max neg. offset of 12,5mm would theoretically be legal.
The Nissan workshop service manual states for wheels & tires for the Y60:
5.50F-16SDC rim: offest of 30mm & 6.50-16 to 7.50-16 tires
6JJ-16 rim: offset of 30mm & 215/80R16 tires
5.50F-15SDC rim: offset of -5mm & 9.00-15 tires
7JJ-15 rim: offset of 5mm & 10R15 tires
The manual states a rear trackwidth of 1535mm which would make the rims with an offset of -5mm and 5mm illegal according to the ADR (25mm wider than the maximum trackwidht stated by the manufacturer).
Hope this helps

As far as I understand the ADR, the trackwidth of the donor vehicle is relevant for conversions. You might want to check that with the DOT.

In qld the law is +50mm total track for beam axle front and rear cars... but that is based on your best factory option, not your worst.....
Cant see a problem using anything you can buy off the shelf unless you're buying rockcrawler rims
Cant check tonight since we have bushfire issues here and im not going out to play in the smoke with a tape measure...
"off road passenger vehicles fitted with front and rear beam axles, may have an increase in track up to 50mm beyond the MAXIMUM specified by the vehicle manufacturer...."
Ie 50mm wider than the 15x7's 0 offset is legal, so -25mm is cool if you can find it :- I have been advised that ROH only make -13mm for instance in a 16x8 which is what I'm buying, although in a 15x8 you should have a few more optional offsets.

1595 rear 1575 front approximate quick and nasty measurement. Measured from inner edge of one tyre to outer edge of the other so that's gonnaremove any impact of the tire width, but not the offset issues.
If you take off 50mm for the 0 offset rims and use the +25mm offset 16x6's (chimpboy happily sell you his - plug), you're down to 1545 and 1535.
Gonna be close. Now I'll go check the rim offset really is 0.
