Jackaroo dual batteries

Post by ozhumvee »

A friend wants to fit dual batteries to a late 90's v6 Jackaroo, we've sussed out where and how to fit second batt under the bonnet but are wondering how to isolate them, solenoid, diode isolator or something else, cheaper the better. How have other done it.

I use a solenoid in my Rodeo. Perhaps look in the 'Auto electrics' section as this question is general to all vehicle models.

Ive just inherited a Rotronics battery isolator from my old man. Will let you know how it goes once I install it. This wont be any time real soon as currently my compressor takes up the space where my 2nd bat will go.
