Yep after talking to Andrew about your plans go the 4.6's. Would be interest to here how it works out with the aftermarket fronts. As I am probably about 12mths away from having the money to do this swap.

some professional advice says use an aftermarket front, coz it doesnt get used as much.

u dickhead , its not how often it gets used, but the amount of stress/torque it is under when it does get used, buy the best quality possibly.
I agree that it is better to buy Nissan gears all round but if you dont have the $$$ buy after market fronts as they are cheaper. The noise from the aftermarket gears is from wear on the gear faces not abuse. They do tend to get noisy between the 10k and 20k mark, that in the rear is 1 year and in the front is ???
