We drew first run in Prod class on the 1st track. All went well till the last 5m. where we got stuck in a small gully. Thurmo fan fell out (cheep cable tie's lol) and then the rad boiled, and stuck something in a tyre. then got snached out.
2nd track: Inverted both rear shackles on the first obstical. drove out.
Gourge: Headlights devolped a short somewere. = no lights = didn't even start.
Bad day for us but thanks to Glen Matt and everyone else for putting on RND 3. "I will be back"

Well put it this way there was 3 roll overs including one on the roof, 2 or 3 busted CV's, a poped rear diff & a broken steering drag link.
The only thing we didn't see was a car catch fire
Good spectator sport !
BTW- im thinking about seting up a Hilux to join the fun & to help support the lads with the events in T/ville. (fingers crossed)

my comp report
track 1 on saturday
watched a few cars go through .. looked ok ... drove well .. didn't break
woot ... won this track over all ... this is where bill (new kid on the block) from cairns got stuck in the first gully started seeing red mist and wanted out ... hit reverse and reved his v8 modified rover and come out in a hurry but bounced funny and rolled on its side .... then onto its roof back into the gully YAAAAAAAY! crowd goes wild they wanna see carnage
track 2 saturday
1st to go on the track tried to take the line proposed by glenn ....
found out after the car slid around abit that my rear tire is tryin to climb out of an under cut while chassis is hitting the top rock ... had to get towed out ... still didn't break ... not trying hard enough
the gorge
was bored so i thought i'd go crowd pleasing with revs and tryin to get some air in places ... so entering the gorge give it a lil squirt to drop into a steep drop off so i don't get caught ... HOLY SHIT BAT MAN the whole car bunnyhopped and got all 4 wheels off the ground and landed in the gorge and bent the rim and popped a bead BOOOOO fixed it and reset my tire pressures 20psi to hold the bead so back into it bounce bounce bounce over a few obsticals ... up to a big vertical ... prolly abit over a car length high ... took a few goes to get but it was big and then i had to do a 3 point turn to get down the other side ... back down and up the double step vert and down a crab holed bank and out
track 3 sunday
blah ... i tried to hit every marker on the track ehehe and i got stuck
thanks big red for pullin me out ... finished the track and tried to get air on the way out ... BAH needed a higher gear crawler gears no good for get speed
Vertical Assult
big red having first dibbs on trying to get up ... having a few goes to no avail only getting his tires up and hitting on the chassis and coming to a halt .. the ground is hard here and its not breaking down the bank and its bull dost down the bottom ... matt in the yellow geee eewwww having a go next ... still no good backs out after achieveing the same result ... fester ... gets wheels up only there for a few seconds and gets run on but catches it and saves his engine
my turn to defend my title from last round ... different type of vertical from last .. this one is straight up then cuts back to flat ... ok so i gotta get wheels up to get over ... so i line it up get set ... SPOOLED TURBO
and let rip with the clutch woot i got air! ... got wheels up and just about all the way up just not enough to pull the rear tyres up and over :(
did this a few times then thought i broke so i got pulled up and out ...
then matt goes and drives it after im out

Sensational weekend!
Heaps of action, bloody tough and really challenging tracks.
BIG congrats to Shane (Big Red) who put on a superb driving display to take out modified on the weekend. F#%$k that was just good to watch.
Fester had his Toy, it seemed, permanently wound up, and managed to lube up his turbo with engine oil on the vertical assault.
Luke was giving the vertical assault a shake up but it was eventually Matt who launched his truck over.
All I remember from team budget was huge clouds of dust and smoke, then a silver flash darting out from the centre of the mayhem. They soldiered on through the night to repair carnage from the gorge to continue competing on Sunday.
Danny only managed to peg the turbo on his zook for around 6 or so meters before blowing a diff putting him out of the comp - bugger.
The Rangie boys from Cairns, in their first comp ever, had the best rollover of the comp within a few minutes of starting, ending up upside down in a gully. They came back for more after some superficial repairs before ending their comp with a bent tie rod in the Gorge on Sat night.
I spent a hell of a lot of time making sure my rev limiter was working and trying not to rollover (even off course!)
All in all, I pronounce the weekend a HOOT!

Well for my first time in proddy class I was warned the tracks were gonna be hard The first one i walk the most of till I came to the gully and lined it up wrong and slipped in Stuck . Got pulled out and Inverted a shackle and bent the spings but thanks to the guy with the winch we fixed that and would you believe another Rocsta was there from cairns and he gave me a spare shock( mine was a bannana)
Second track dropped into the first gully then could'nt get out of the bulldust so i had to give in to the snatch strap but I made it around the rest of the course in about 5min where some guys got stuck for up to 45min.
The gouge was full on, made it through the first section ok over some bumps down a gully with haveing to put the right wheel in this made whole then climb out this step then in again to tackle these big logs and that's where it stopped for me, being second in the line up I got to show the rest which way not to go . Bellyed out on the big log and had to get towed off with bent my gearbox support and broke the mount and he pulled me so hard the crowd went up as I came sooo close to going over.I reversed back out and parked it as that was it for my weekend.
Don't know what happened the next day as I stayed home and licked my wounds
It sure was a challenge I never would have driven tracks like that in my production car if I hadn't payed to do it crazy
