Endless Air $$ ?

Endless air . How much for full set up , they advertise $350 ,but that is only the start of the expense so i have been told.

Anyone Know ?

It's around another $250 for the brackets for a 4.2GU, then add lines, pressure relief valves etc depending on the setup.

I got quoted around $650 for the basic set up fitted without air reservoir.

Just go and by a Sanden 508 car air compressor from the wreckers its the same compressor and make your own brackets

IME a grease nipple doesn't provide enough lubrication. The best method is to use an oil separator just after the compressor, with a capillary line feeding oil back into the intake. If you have the room, fit a york compressor, they have their own sump so don't need a separator.

Well I have a Hilux diesel with aircon and power steer I have SFA room.
And I have a Sanden 508 sitting in a Commodore wreck in my shed.

I lub mine through the intake with thin compressor oil. I have a seperator at the end of the line where I plug the hose into.

i lube mine through the lube hole in the compressor itself(where they add the aircon lube)just put some engine oil in every now and then.i have a water oil seperator between the compressor and the recievers.i have a blow off valve on the recievers which blows off at 8oo kpa ,brings the pressure back to 700 kpa.

The original Endless air that i had was lubed by a grease nipple and the guy told me to just add a few pumps every now and then ended up dropping a con rod from one of the pistons of the swash plate un fixable at the moment im just running a bit of grease through a nipple the nipple gose through the side of the compressor body if i had the room id run a York compressor as they have a sump but you still loose oil to your air system .For the price of the compressor just pump a bit of grease in it and when it dies just replace it.This compressor at 1200rpm runs my 1/2 inch drive rattle gun easily of a old fire extengwisher that im useing as a tank .I normaly end up blowing up my 38s and 4 or 5 sets of 35 then maybe some smaller tyres all in the time that a mates ARBonly blows his 35s backup

If you're like me (can't weld and no welder) get the compressor from the wreckers and the brackets from endless air.

The pressure relif valve, line pressure switch etc. aren't that expensive. I paid $50 for my pressure switch, relief valve, non-return valve,a gauge and some line.

I talked to the guy at Endless Air a while ago about fitting one to my hilux (2.8d, p/s, a/c & turbo) and they were in the process of making/testing some brackets to fit one in the engine bay somewhere, maybe mounted on top of the engine poking out the bonnet??
But buying the compressor from the wreckers then the brackets from Endless sounds like a good idea.

I used to have an LN65 DC Hilux (in a previous life) and sold it to a mate. It (still) has an aftermarket A.C. system with a Sanden SD508 compressor. The compressor is mounted on the D.S., high in the engine bay. Its in the perfect spot for any accessory. Have a dig around at wreckers for a similar aftermarket A.C. setup and buy the mounting bracket.

For the GQ 4.2 (and I assume the GU 4.2) Bazzle has written on several occasions (from memory) that the compressor fits between the alternator and the A.C. compressor, and that it needs a 50mm body lift to work.

Could be wrong...but I'm pretty sure......

GQ 4.2D mounts on a bracket which picks up the ALternator mounting bolts. Sits in between the original AC comp and the Alternator--drives off the extra groove on Alt pulley. GU 4.2D mounts on a bracket underneath the injection pump. I think it uses a longer power steering belt to drive it.

The most expensive part of any air system is the hoses and fittings. Truck airtanks of various sizes complete with fittings can be picked up for $50. Make sure you fit an operational safety valve. An adjustable industrial pressure switch with inbuilt unloader works fine for controlling pressure..

Dont by the brackets from Endless Air as its a rip of was charged heaps for 2 crapy steel brackets and 1 belt definatly not worth it
