Are the bellhousings the same on the 2.8 and 4.0 gasoline engines on the MQs?

I do not think they are the same in shape or use the same clutch. Bolt pattern on them may be the same, I dunno. But on the P40 it is a 6 bolt pattern. I guess I could check my books to see for sure if they use the same 6 bolt pattern.

NO IT IS NOT!

The L28 is the one motor in the MQ/MK that is completly different than the others. It is also the only one with a divorced transfer case. Yet the L28 is the Patrol with the best diff gear ratios if you want big tires.

The P40 and the SD33 are the same though.... :roll:
