Having a diesel shop replace injectors runs about $500.

I got mine (and later my Inj. pump) at Diesel Pump and Injector Service at Caboolture (07) 5495 7366. The pump cost $1260 to get done.

There are many other diesel shops around brissie that do the same thing.

Do 3 things 1st.

1. Run injector cleaner
2. Change brand of fuel
3. Do this 1st Change aircleaner for a new paper one.

Then pay for injectors.

Speaking of injector cleaners....
Has anyone bought and used the 'fuel treatment' advertised often in 4WD Monthly by Cost Effective Maintenance in QLD? They claim to "fix smoke, rough idle, power loss, hard starting and increased economy..."
Their ad is on page 130 of the November 2004 (latest?) issue.
I have seen this ad a few times now and was thinking of ordering some but was wondering if it actually works and if people have any independant reveiws of the product.
