Does the shift knob on ADD equipped vehicles unscrew from the shifter?
I'm thinking of using one on a non-ADD vehicle and using the switch for the rear diff lock.
Just a thought

ADD is Toyota-speak for push button 4wd activation used on some Hiluxes, 4Runners, & Surfs. It was fitted instead of manual hubs.
The Transfer case shift knob is different to a manual hub vehicle. it has a switch on the side to activate 4wd. I was thinking about using this switch to activate my rear ARB difflock.

actually, its ADHD, my mate has it.
Attention Deficite Hyper-activity Disorder
There are 2 forms of it.. ADD - Attention Deficit Disorder, and ADHD - Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder...
Both have their similarities and differences...

Ok coming from someone who has it (my dad and bro also have it) it kind of depends who you talk to as to if there are 2 forms of it.
The specialist clinic my dad goes to believe and instill on all their patients that it's ADHD but you can have different degrees of it (ie not having the hyperactivity as such).
I however was diagnosed by a Dr from the Royal Childrens Hosp with ADD so that is what I consider myself to have.
I think most people believe there are 2 forms however.
OK now I think this topic can return to ADD of the Automatic Disconecting Differential kind.
