Zook specialists

Post by Wave_nut »

I need some help trying to sort out a snorkel for the '97 2.0ltr SWB vitara. Can anyone tell me where some zook specialists are in sydney (if any)? I know i am going to need to get one made, just a case of how much pain and suffering this is going to cause me. Does anyone have plans or templates of some sort? Any help would be great

Thanks in advance guys

im pretty sure you can get air tech or safari snorkels for vitaras. If you think that a custom job will be more hassle. otherwise go to an exaust shop and get a custom job there are a few people who do this I and i think it works out cheaper most of the time

They do make snorkels, but not for the ,97 2.0ltr. The air intake is on the left side of most models, but the '97 vitara's intake is on the right hand side. There is not enough demand for snorkels on these models so safari and airtech don't make them.

Surely someone on this forum has come across this before

Thanks though mate

Have a look at, I think, either a Hilux or Rodeo snorkel. From memory someone on our club found a snorkel for another vehicle that is pretty close to right size and fitment

airtech make one for pajeros that fits the right hand side. The 97 - 00 NL pajeros have very similar flared guards to the vits. Pop into a Tjm shop and measure one up.
