92 onward jackeroo info pls
Mate lookin at buyin 92 onward jackeroo. 3.2 V6 Any info, good or bad would be great. He will use it for towing a lawm mow round trailer and general trail/tor 4wdin. What year is best, motor driveline changes ETC. Thankx in advance
Had my 92 V6 Jack for nearly 5 years (177,000km) and it has caused me relatively few problems in that time. The motor itself is a strong unit but the low mounting of the alternator and and the a/c compressor is a weakness with muddy puddles causing problems. The motor has plenty of power but probably lacks a bit at lower revs. Ive heard that clutches can sometimes give up fairly early in the piece but not always (mine went at about 115,000km). The V6 Jackaroos have essentially stayed much the same over the years except the last few years when the 3.5 v6 was introduced and then the widetrack version.
Plenty of aftermarket gear is also available for all models.
I'd say that all 92+ models are well worth a look but ofcourse you should be looking for one thats been looked after and has low kms...
