Rear main seal oil leaks are pretty rare with the TD 42. The seal itself is easy to replace, but engine or gearbox needs to be removed  Once the flywheel and back plate are removed, the seal housing can be removed and the seal driven out. If high km's on engine, reposition seal in a slightly different position if seal surface on crank is scored badly. If doing it yourself, make sure you get the gasket that seals the oil seal housing to the block. Make sure PCV valve is not blocked.
