suspension lift

Post by RockhamptonZOOK »

Hi all

have previously owned a suzi but bought an ng pajero auto after going going for a ride in a mates (like floating on a cloud!)

However the shocks and springs are original (120000k on clock) and am considering replacing them. Can anyone tell me what I will need

ie I know I will need 2 coils (rear) and 4 shocks do they wind the front torsion bars? help!

Do you require a lift ??
For rear coils Kings, Pedders, Tough Dog, OME are all pretty good from stock to 2" lift. Linear rate coils will ride a bit stiffer compared to progressive rate coils but won't sag nowhere near as quick.
Torsion bars may not be required to be replaced unless their fatigued if there's no adjustment left and the front end has sagged they can be re-indexed at the spline. There are a few aftermarket options these days Pedders, Tough Dog, TJM etc.
Shocks are a matter of an opinion but Koni's, Tough Dogs, Rancho's all give good results.
Try a forum search there is heaps of data on suspension stuff.
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"
