XL-7 Lift

Post by A12 »

Guys,

What should I do, insurance company says I can doo 1 maximum of 4" lift on my XL-7. Snake Racing does a 3" lift, that leaves 1" for suspension. I can't get 4" out the current suspension, and I am not going to go SAS. I was thinking of dropping the lower control arms on the front by 4", dropping the front diff by 4", poitentially spacing the front struts by what ever is required to give the most travel, getting custom springs made up to make the arms/drive shaft sit at current level, then on the back, do a 4" spring lift, cant over shocks and extend the control arms to re-locate the diff. Is this realistic, does anyone see any issues with engineers certificate.........

I also want to go to 31" BF Goorich All Terrains for general use, and BF Goodrich Mud Terrains with Second Air bealocks for off-road work.

Not looking to build a comp vehicle, it's a daily drive and needs to be able to carry family of 6 around, as well as get to the out of the way placed that I like to go to.

Did you get the insurance company to give you that in writing?

Greg...two words... DGA Insurance. They will insure anything you can get an engineers cert for. Stimpy is insured for a motza and it's only costing me $85.00 a month.
DRS smells like a cat-food milkshake... and wet socks... and gorgonzola cheese... all whizzed up in a blender

Stimpy is 2000 Jimny JLX - which they base insure for $14500. You then list your mods and accessories - mine total around $10500 so he's insured for $24500. My insurance is probably cheaper than some because I'm a female over 35 with a 60% no claim......they think I'm a lesser risk......
