Feroza Steering box leaks.

Post by babyfame »

I presently own a Feroza all the way in the Caribbean, a small Island called St. Lucia where you get NO parts for a Feroza. My steering box keeps on leaking and I can't get a replacement. Anybody know of another type of vehicle (a more popular one) that would be using the same box as the Feroza. Please reply because this Feroza is really driving me insane when it comes to parts.

I dont know of any others that fit, but where is yours leaking from? Is it possible that you have a blockage somewhere, and that you could fix the leak by cleaning the system and replacing gaskets and seals. Mine leaks from the top of the resivior, indicating to me a pressure build up, but I have done nothing about it.

I am pretty sure the boxes are re-buildable.

Otherwise, you could fix it by swapping the front for a hilux axle and going hilux steering. This also fixes the poor offroad performance. :D

if it is leaking out the steering input shaft then you can just replace the oil seal. if its leaking out the high pressure hoses then get them re-done.
