Central Locking malfunction

Post by Grantw »

My central locking keeps "unlocking".. I have disconnected it to stop it happening. I am assuming that its the actuator is dead. Would this be correct?

Hello Grantw,
My sister had a generic central locking system fitted to her Sirion. After a few weeks her car started to do the same. Apparently the drivers side actuator operated correctly when closing but the passenger side didn't quite close and was telling the drivers side that some one was unlocking the passenger side, and so opened the drivers side. It was just a matter of adjustment to get them doing the same thing at the same time.
