Hi everyone...

Post by will_warne »

... I thought I'd better introduce myself. I'm new on here although a few of you may know me from a few of the other forums I linger on (mainly LRE). Well, I'm based in the UK (mostly in the south east) and this my truck:

It started life as a 300tdi CSW but after three years and lots of ££££ its basicly changed a fair bit  The spec list is way to long to go into but basicly its got lockers (ARB), winches (M8274 and Husky), a cage, a HS 2.8l TGV engine, OME suspension, Maxi-Drive halfshfts and Simex 35" Extreme Trekkers (or 255x85 BFG MTs for on road stuff)

hi will,

That's a great looking truck you have there. Did you have to do much cutting/mods to get 35" rubber under there? I wanted to put big tyres on my 110 which is also running OME suspension, but I've been told I would get problems with rubbing (on radius arms?) with 285/75s. Maybe I could run 255/85s though as they are skinnier?

YOu have a lot more accessories available in the UK than we do here for Land rovers. NIssan and Toyota are way more popular over here and so there is far more bolt on type mods available for them.

Anyway welcome to the forum

Hi again guys,

Thanks for all the comments about my truck, you'll make me blush

Martin, you'll find you shouldn't have too many problems fitting 35" tyres. Your drivetrain'll hate you be all you'll need to do is trim the rubber/plastic arches to allow the tyres to clear when articulating. Ypu've got a 2" lift so it really isn't a problem.

FF, cheers for those photos, not one of my cleverest moments ;) I only though the water was a few inches deep, not 3 feet!
