GU leaf cab vs. GU coil cab

Ok, i know which one is better but i am only just out of uni and the bank doesnt like loaning people the amount of money.... so i wanna know what are the pros and cons for each....

Which one i buy depends on how much i get for my bundera... but i want to know what i am getting into before i decide.

If the bank dont like you I would be looking at GQ coil cab instead. Then you have the coils and they are alot cheaper. Better still buy a wagon that is good mechanical but with a dented body and turn it into an extar cab.

Leafs just arnt going to cut it (I dont know much about leafs).

gu leaf sprung bigger rear diff (36 spline i think i was told)
when i was lookn igot mine 10grand cheaper than a coily at the time, that was a plus for me.
big truk heavy leaves no flex
$600 on a wrecked rear end of a wagon, n did a coil conversion
if u r on a budget , get a beatn gq wagon n chop it , then spend money elsewhere. just get a gq coil cab.

coils if you want comfort and awesome ride offroad.

leafs if you want to carry loads now and then.

Both have their advantages.

my gq extra cab cost around 10k all up painted with a tb42.
leaves heaps of room 4 mods. at one stage (a while ago) i had 35 claws 10"rims 5 link, 7"wizard ranchos, rear arb lock for around 16 (all new except locker) it was a fun capable and some what practical truck.

i need it to pull trailer, or float eventually as well as be comfortable for long distances but still take me places to explore.

a good leaf set up and lockers works well for what you want albeit cheaper than coil. how heavy exploring you want to do greatly effects your car choice. all towing is much the same (towbar weights).
gq's are no where near as comphy as gu's. especially dust sealing, cramped, lesser vision. my gq extra is a pita to merge with as the seat goes back past the b pillar, so its a mirror only affair. otherwise they are much the same vehicle. same chassis, running gear (gearboxes are a tad different & gu cv's 30% stronger). diesels are the same except for the intercooler on the newies.

Goto the local nissan shop and take one for a drive. Find a place with sharpish speed humps and drive over them at speed (thats if you can find a gravel road).

i can get a leaf sprung version for about 10 grand less, will be driving both before a decision is made.

Ive got the Leaf sprung rear GU with a 4inch lift, im pritty happy with the way it handles and the comfort but the flex in the rear isnt real flash
